Here you are free to visit the numerous stately homes go to the Jurassic coasts of Whitby and Scarborough or simply wander the moors and see the wonderful hidden dales and villages. Oh there s so much to do! br / br / After using up all that energy why not enjoy a delicious meal and a drink in one of the wonderful eateries that are in abundance around here. br / br / br / br / This time of year Spring is on the way the birds are starting to pair up and in no time at all the Farndale Daffodils will be out. These are the largest collection of wild native daffodils in the country. Have a look at www.real-whitby.co.uk/farndale-daffodil-walk to see where they are and download a map of the walk. br / br / Although in the past the North York Moors Authority have arranged a special bus to take the hundreds of visitors to see them the NYMA never told the daffodils and so they did not always flower at the right time. Pickering - Road: On the A170 Scarborough to Thirsk road turn North approx 1/4 mile East of Kirkbymoorside signed Castleton and Hutton le Hole. Follow this road untill you enter the village. Burnley House is the large house facing down the road towards you. Car parking is through the gap in the wall just past the main building. The most common entrance to the house from the car park is via the back garden. br/ br/ Middlesborough - Road: On the A171 Middlesborough to Whitby road turn South just East of the Lockwood Beck Reservoir signposted Castleton Hutton le Hole. In Castleton turn right at the T junction and follow the road for about 15 miles. On entering Hutton le Hole go past the village green on your Right. Burnley House is on your right just after the Village Hall and just before another area of grass. Entrance to the car park is imediately after the Village Hall.
