Situated just outside the historic city of Edinburgh Greenlees Lodge has a secluded location on a private lane and offers free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. We are ideally suited for holiday or business travelers. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the lane with buses getting you to Edinburgh in about 15 minutes. We are a 2 minute drive to the Edinburgh Bypass and very convenient to all attractions in Edinburgh and surrounding area. Central Edinburgh is a spectacular mix of charming old buildings and beautiful green spaces. The famous shops of Prince s Street and Edinburgh Castle are around 6 miles from Greenlees Lodge. Arthur s Seat which offers panoramic views of the city is about 15 minute drive away. Rosslyn Chapel is just ten minutes by car or a lovely 45 minute walk on a scenic railroad pathway. Hiking riding stables bike trails and golf are at our doorstep. Just a short walk from lodge you will find two local pubs serving great food and drink. We offer a shuttle service for a fee to/from local pubs restaurants city centre airports rail stations or virtually anywhere in the Edinburgh or Glasgow areas. Shuttle service is based on availability and should be booked in advance. Rooms are equipped with a fridge microwave hair dryer flat panel television coffee/tea making facilities toiletries and an iPhone/iPad docking station. All rooms have an en-suite or private bathroom. Iron/iron board are available on request. Breakfast is available as an option for 12.00GBP per guest. We offer a wide variety of breakfast choices. Laundry/ironing service and print/fax is available for a fee on request. We are smoke free and do not allow children under the age of 16. Greenlees Lodge is located on a private lane about 2 minutes from the Edinburgh bypass We are an easy 6 mile drive to the centre of historic Edinburgh and a 20 minute bus ride on the number 31. Drive time to Edinburgh airport is aproximately 20 minutes. Greenlees is at the end of a private lane. Set your navigation to EH18 1HE Green Lane. Your navigation will probably bring you to the start of Green Lane but no further. Follow Green Lane and do not enter any of the gates. You will be making 3 right hand turns watch for small Green Lane signs. Ignore the private lane and do not enter signs! After the 3rd right turn continue almost to the end and you will see our building which is a large white bungalow with a separate white garage building. There is a red front door and there is a Greenlees sign on the wooden fence post. The parking area to the right just before our wooden gate is for guest use. If you have mobility issues please let us know and we will arrange close up parking.
