Waverley rail station and the main bus station are a short taxi ride away (2 kms). Haymarket rail station is less than a ten minute walk from the hotel.Taxis and shuttle buses to and from the city centre are readily available. Directions by road: From A8 and M9 (The West):Follow the signs for city centre until Haymarket Station.Go through the lights onto West Maitland Street and bear right at the lights (direction Carlisle / A702). This is Torphichen Street leading to Dewar Place. At the next lights get into middle lane and go across Morrison Street into Gardners Crescent (N.B. do not move on the filter at these lights). Follow the crescent to a roundabout and turn right. Grove Street is next right.From Forth Road Bridge:Follow A90 (Queensferry Road) to Barnton junction. Stay on A90 towards city centre taking right hand fork at Kwik-Fit Garage (Queensferry Road Again). At traffic lights bear right staying on Queensferry Road. Turn right at roundabout onto Queensferry Terrace. Go straight on at the next roundabout into Belford Road. Follow this road round past the Hilton Hotel beyond which the road swings right (Douglas Gardens/Palmerston Place). Go straight along Palmerston Place through one set of lights. At the next lights (West Maitland Street) go straight over into Torpichen Street continuing to Dewar Place. From A702 (The South):Follow Comiston Road into Morningside Road and eventually Bruntsfield Place. Approaching Tollcross watch out for Kings Theatre on the right. Proceed through lights and turn second left into Thornybauk. Follow this round past fire station to lights at T junction ( L Amore D Italia restaurant). Turn left onto Fountainbridge. Go straight on at the roundabout. Grove Street is now first right.
