===== Exterior =====Just one kilometer from the town of Ostuni you will find Villa Saraceno.It is composed of a newly constructed additon to the old Trullo, where there is a large living room with sofas and a fireplace on one side and a bar on the other. It has two bedrooms, including one double and one twin that could become double, it has two bathrooms and a large well equiped kitchen.The other part is the old Trullo, this is very special because it is on two levels and each level consists of a suite with double bed, bathroom and a small kitchenette, for greater independence of the tenants.Outside the villa there is a large veranda with a big table where you can enjoy the beautiful summer days.In the lawned garden there is a large swimming pool for the exclusive use of the property.RENT INCLUDESCleaning and linen (sheets, towels and pool towels) weekly. The houses are topped with unusual pitched roofs called 'cummerse' a feature typical of the historical centre.Zoosafari Fasonolandia is an animal attraction and theme park in Fasano. The park includes a drive through safari park in the visitor's own vehicle as well as a walk around animal area, animal shows and several rides. From the centre of Locorotondo the Zoo is only 15 minutes drive, approximately 10.6kmAlberobello has been made a UNESCO World Heritage site for its unusual districts of trulli, and conical-roofed houses which are all painted white, built from local limestone, with dry-stone walls. They are fairytale like huts built in the 14th Century.There are a good number of restaurants, but to enjoy the local cuisine, look for something which is away from the tourist traps.Matera is a city and a province in the region of Basilicata. The town lies in a small canyon carved out by the Gravina (small stream and ravine). Coordinates: 40 40'N 1636'E. The place to visit is the historical centre called 'Sassi' considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1993, along with the Park of the Rupestrian Churches. In October 2014 Matera was declared Italian host of European Capital of Culture for 2019.Until the 1980's the Sassi was considered an area of poverty, since its dwellings were, and in most cases still uninhabitable. Now due to tourism this area is now being regenerated. There are many restaurants, cafe bars and hotels.There are many beaches with Lido Bizzarro which is good for children. Torre Canne is a close beach and is safe. LecceLecce is a Baroque City, it has a historic centre full of cherubs, and baroque masterpeices. Sometimes described as the 'Florence of the South' Lecce's history goes back a long way - you can still see the ruins of a Roman Threatre and amphitheatre.Things to see in Lecce - (Centro Storico) which you can spend a day or two exploring picturesque little lanes. The Basilica di Santa Croce has a fantastical façade, with ornamental strange beasts and allegories.The town has two main focal points: Piazza Sant'Oronzo and Piazza del Duomo. There is also a little tourist 'train' which stops at various points of interest.It's worth visiting the Roman theatre and its little museum in the centre of Lecce (Museo Teatro Romano).OstuniOstuni is one of the most stunning cities in southern Italy famous for the dazzling effect of its whitewashed houses. In the Church of San Vito Martire there are the remains of a young woman now named 'Delia'. The young 20 year old pregnant woman had been buried in a hole in a grotto 25,000 years ago.Ostuni boasts many restaurants with traditional Pugliese cuisine, with roast and grilled meat and tasty tangy pasta dishes to suit every pallate.Ostuni has also one of the oldest Franciscan convents dating back to 1304.The Cathedral is located on the highest point of the city, which was built between 1435 and 1495, and has a beautiful Gothic facade.Far away you will see the white town perched on a hill, crowned by the cathedral with its colorful dome. The town of Ostuni is surrounded by a medieval fortress wall, and as you meander through the streets, you may stumble upon hidden cafe bars and restaraunts. Definitely worth visiting at night, as there is a buzz of excitement, and people sipping coffee and drinking Spritz - it definitely has a cosmopolitan feelCarovignoIs a small unspoilt part of Puglia, on the outskirts the town is surrounded by olive groves, and is only a short distance from the Adriatic Coast. The centre has many fantastic bars and restaurants, and boasts a Michelin Star Restaurant. Well worth a visit is the Santuario della Madonna del Belvedere, which is a sanctuary. Please note suitable clothing is required to enter the church, as you will not be permitted to enter if your shoulders are not covered and you are wearing beach wear.Beaches are clean with a Nature reserve Torre Guaceto blissfully free from development, with its rugged shores is a protected area, and allows its visitors to enjoy and escape from the over developed beach resorts. There are plenty of opportunities to observe plant and animal species usually scarce in this part of the world.A mini shuttle service runs from the car parks, but to find your spot on the beach, there may be some walking involved.The sea is clear, clean and warm. There is a visitor centre 3km inland at Serranova which organises nature walks, cycle trekking. There are also guided snorkelling trips. Torre Guaceto is also one of Puglia's top locations for kite surfing.There are water parks, and a zoo in Fasano. Plenty to do if you have young children.- Golf: GOLF INFORMATIONSavelletri has an 18 hole golf course and is rated amongst the best in Italy. San Domenico 18 hole championship club on the crystalline Adriatic Sea has a combination of good golf, good weather and good food. The myriad bunkers and fierce rough characterise this championship layout. Acaya Gold and country Club is near Lecce, part of the Hilton resort and home to a Costantino Rocca Academy, is perhaps the most welcoming of the five Puglia options, with open fairways and receptive greens. Good for golfers with a moderate ability.Barialto Gold Club - just outside Bari is set around a central lake with the greens weaving through an ancient olive grove. Riva dei Tessali Resort - on the coast of Taranto with 18-holes.
