Fitzroy Island is surrounded by a reef system that forms part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park with coral beaches which lead into safe, sheltered waters, ideal for swimming and water sports. The Island is a listed National Park and includes a contemporary restaurant, large pool with swim up bar, Dive and Adventure Centre, Foxy's Bar, meeting facilities, games room, indoor movie theatre and resort mini supermarket, a perfect destination for families. Fitzroy Island is a tropical paradise and the perfect base for snorkelling, diving and exploring the reef and rainforest. All rooms are well appointed with air-conditioning, black marble tiled ensuite, tea and coffee making facilities, small fridge and plasma television. Ocean Suites feature a kitchenette with microwave, kettle and toaster, lounge and dining area and generous balcony and some with views across Welcome Bay and the Coral Sea. The Self Contained Apartments feature a lounge and dining area and include a fully equipped kitchen with large freezer, hotplates, oven, dishwasher, tea and coffee making facilities.
