The Auberge de la Barguillère is located in the village of Saint Pierre de Rivière, green route gateway to the new Regional Natural Park of the Ariège Pyrenees, in the Barguillère valley, 3.5km from Foix. A charming hotel restaurant, very close to Foix. It is also the only café in the village of Saint Pierre de Rivière, a genuine countryside bistro celebrating the riches of local produce with Mediterranean overtones. We can offer rooms for 1, 2, 3 or 4 guests in an old traditional building with plenty of charm and authenticity. All with private bathroom and new bedding, they are inviting and comfortable. Visitors can also enjoy our restaurant and bar; with breakfasts of artisanal breads, locally produced jam and honey. We serve generous portions of tasty, market-fresh cuisine, made from seasonal, regional produce.

It provides ideal accommodatins for those wishing to strike out into Ariège to discover the riches of the valley and area. The medieval town of Foix is just 10 min away, with its château, the Forges de Pyrène and the underground caves in Labouiche. Just opposite, the huge Prat d'Albis playing fields for young and not-so-young. You can go hiking in the mountains, fly kites, try your hand at paragliding or simply enjoy the fresh air.
